Tuscan-Light Kitchen

Thickened walls, a large stove hood, stone capped piers, travertine backsplashes- all allude to the Italian heritage of the owner. A shallow, Italian wardrobe-style pantry was custom made for easy access to its contents. Room-length beams, an antiqued beam-and-beadboard ceiling and a Tuscan pecan floor create a unifying, embracing ambience for the kitchen and dining areas. The centerpiece is a glazed walnut island with large pot-and-pan drawers, topped with glowing Venetian granite.

She enjoys sharing her baked manicotti with lots of people, and says she now has just the kitchen for it.
