Grafted-In Garden Room

			A sagging deck is
replaced with an outdoor room the owners can enjoy anytime (the
floor is heated!). The garden room ceiling pops up in the
middle for high windows that keep the room open and cheery, and beadboard walls and
a beamed ceiling make it cozy. A row of out-riggers below the roof
add some interest and presence to this corner addition. A flat
copper cap on the stair railing offers space for flower pots.

It has become their primary living space, say the owners. With radio
and tv banished, they relax to the sounds of nature and a backyard
			fountain.
