Going Up?
A new second floor enabled this house to more than double its size without taking up much more valuable yard space. Informal massing and a deep front porch give it an old-fashioned, casual feel. A reception area connects the home office with the study, for client meetings away from family areas. A secluded master suite has its own porch and looks over a private side yard, while the kids' rooms have moved upstairs. A circular drive simplifies traffic, and a covered walk keeps the owners and groceries dry between garage and house.
